Is it? As the oil heats up, the pressure will decrease. This is *perfectly* normal, and nothing to worry about whatsoever. For an engine in good shape, the oil pressure at 2000 rpm should be between

So did I! The spec. says between 40 and 60 psi at 2000 rpm when hot. At idle, much lower pressures is acceptable. A pressure of 40 psi at 2000 rpm is sign of an engine with some *natural* wear, but s

Talking of the six pot, of which I have some experience: I couldn't care less about idle pressure, as long as there *is* a reasonable pressure. (The "disaster indicator" flashing is not a good sign).
