I had intended to provide engine sounds for the 2000-page (I have
facilities for recording, and have a silly example in my personal
Web home page, URL below), but haven't gotten around to it yet.

The idea of using it for engine diagnosis is very good - I would be happy
to make a web page with sounds - providing people can send samples on
audio cassettes (to my smail address below, will be returned of course).
