Aren't the standard SU carbs on a SRL 38mm?? I got a illustrated buyers guide for Datsun Sports Cars and it claims they were 44's but I thought that was only for the Solex carbs. Related question: I'

I think you're right about the 3.5". I measured last night and got about 4 1/4" from mounting plate to "outer" fender lip in the rear. The lip itself came in at about 1/2", leaving 3 3/4". I assume
