Can anyone enlighten me as to the function of a flasher module? First I will list my assumptions (based on the fact that my TR6 has two of them and each is different). 1. The function is to provide a

Peter, Perhaps I can. You are right, the hazard flasher is different from the turn signal flasher, although they both operate on the same principle. Each has a heat element and a bimetal strip. Curre

Flash time will vary depending on connections, number of bulbs, and battery voltage. The flash time varies basedon the current. This is correct. This is dependent on the car. Some cars have more lamp

Try reversing the leads! Seriously, are there any alternatives to the standard flasher unit in the TR6 which will fit into the same clip, but handle a higher load. I am running 2 x 21W plus 2 x 6W on

YOu need to work out the total amps used buy the bulbs, which is, 54W/12 = 4.5 amp. So the flasher you need has to handel a 4.5 amp load, as to which one is sutable I don't know, but I would imagin t

Trevor, If you wish, there is no reason why you couldn't use a hazard flasher module for the turn signals, rather than a turn signal flasher. This would give you the flash rate you want, and would al
