- If you're concerned about the price, you can mix your own by dissolving 1lb of canning (not candle) paraffin in a gallon of kerosene and spraying with that. I've also heard recommended 1 part paraff

- As others have mentioned, there is no undercoat. POR15 is painted on bare metal. They sell two products for use in tandem with POR15: Marine Clean and Metal Ready. Marine Clean is a great water-base
