- OD on our 79 Spit intermittently kicks out, and then back in. I did a clean and rebuild about 15000 miles ago. It gave no problem prior or since then until about 1000 miles ago. I check the switch on

- Spitfires came with three bellhousings that I know of. Early ones were aluminum. I do not know if they are interchangeable with later trans and 1500 engines. I will soon find out, as I have the parts
