You can reduce the hieght needed when pulling the engine from the top by raising the rear of the car. The engine then (more or less) comes out by pulling it straight forward after the engine/trans as

Rustoleums' "Satin Redwood" color is also an excellent match to the rear end center section color (maybe a superior match to the 30 year old color), thanks to Chad for that tip. I ultimately did use
