I just recieved my second tach gearbox to try and get the tach working on my '60 bugeye. I ruined the first on installation -- made it look exactly like the previous one -- by overtightening the conn

I'm looking for two front hubs for a '60 bugeye with drum brakes. Mine are each missing a stud, plus one has both wheel screwholes stripped. Neither MiniMania nor Moss list the drum brake versions in

Thanks for the responses on hubs for my '60 Sprite, I'm following up a couple of leads now. On reading the manual, however, I see that new bearings must be "pressed" into the hub. Can someone help a

"Newbie" question alert! (I'm not really a newbie, I just haven't done this for 20 some years...) Just got the new rear wheel cylinders in for my '60 Sprite. They are filled with a bright red goo. Is

Thanks for the info. I probably overstated it by saying it is "filled" with the goo. The stuff is certainly spread a bit, tho! Do people recommend using, in addition, "brake assembly fluid". I rememb

I haven't got an owner's manual for my '60 Sprite. The heater switch does nothing, so, in order to fix it, I need to know what it is SUPPOSED to do. When pushed in it clicks once each way left and ri

First project on the Sprite is brakes -- they're still under way... Second project is carbs. PO pointed out strong tendency to flood when starting. I stripped carbs, rebuilt with standard rebuild kit

I really doubt it, but anything is possible. It LOOKS like a standard mechanical pump. Any suggestions on what to look for? Chas Douglass -- Seattle WA

As a "side-project" (besides the brakes, carbs, etc.) I thought I would start on some of the oil leaks.... Got a new (old) rocker cover and new gasket. Is there any concensus on using a gasket sealer

How does your breather tube connect to the rocker cover? The pictures I've seen show a tube extending upward from the cover. Mine has none, but rather a hole in the cover. Does that sound familiar? T
