Ray, This is the right way to run you compression test. However, your results do not sound very good. Your pressure should be withing 10 percent of each piston. Number 1 and 4 look good. Number 2 and

My idle is rough, but I adjusted the timing and it did help the rough idle a bit and it increased the power a lot. Ray **
