Just a note on this although it's not strictly the same topic. When Baby blue was rebuilt the garage had no problem getting the seal & trim for the windscreen and refitting it. They did have problems

The Mk IIIs had two types of fittings. Apparently the early ones had the over clips but the later ones switched to the twist latches that go into the frame. I had trouble getting the right hood frame
