- Pop off the valve cover and see if the drain holes looked blocked. if they are, the thick/cold oil isn't draining and instead is getting sucked into the PCV valve (check that cover only). Maybe. :-)

- Who makes a decent parts washer? I bought one a few years ago from Enco (similar to Harbor Freight I believe) and it worked fine for a few years, but one of the solvents reacted with the plastic (!)
