I looked for a number on the old part, but the back (where the new rotor
has it's info) was peeling off and the front had BPC680 1 45 stamped
in it. Nothing looked familiar to anyone.
The parts guy spent a lot of time looking, but I don't know how well he knew
what to look for. I should have asked to look at the book myself. Actually I
just hopped on Federal-Mogul's site and looked things up, no options like
light/heavy duty. I also checked Raybestos for a BPC part number but
no luck.
Tonight I went to an Auto Zone, they had a different manufacturer, but the
disc was the same. I laid the disc on a bucket, then placed the rim over it.
At least on that rim, it looks like the rim is beat up a bit. The (original)
parts guy thought the log holes looked oval, like the rim had been run with
loose lugs. There are definitely some incriminating marks on there, but
nothing definitive. I'll try this with the other rim tomorrow (holding the
rotor up vertically and looking for 1/16" is not easy!) and see maybe the
rims are beat up and could do with a slight cleaning, might try a rear rim too.
