I have one of those. They are OK, if a bit flimsy. There is a nice Schumacher battery maintainer that is often on sale at Wal-Mart. It has a sturdy case and wiring, and also does 6 and 12-volt batter

I just checked my Schumacher Battery Companion (which has been connected to a 6-bolt battery for several days) to a watt-meter, and it measured ZERO watts. It's probably safe to say it uses one watt
