With the vacuum advance hooked up or not? That really doesn't sound right. If that is with the vacuum advance plugged I would say you probably installed the shutters for the electronic ignition wrong

I'm sorry, but I don't think so. In my 80, the flasher units are under the dash. The unit you speak of below the fuse box is an inline fuse for the cooling fans and radiator switch. Check your manual
