I replaced the points on my TD with the Petronix set-up that was in TSO to eliminate point flap at high rpms. Everyone that's done it reports more power on the top-end as a result. As for it cutting

I have set up many Pertronix units using a light bulb. The magnets will fire the coil as the dist. is advanced manually. The Mon, Jan 31, 2000 has almost 6 degrees advance at 600rpm. Jerry
