Tomorrow I am going to look at a 1974 Bricklin. It has Air doors, and original acrylic. The engine is AMC. I am not familiar with 74's, what should I look for when I view the car? And advice on 74's?

Let's see, besides all the "normal" issues with all bricklins, the 74s also were plagued with weak coil springs, small front air scoops, loose harmonic dampers, a seatbelt interlock and poor "fit and

How hard are the front springs to change? I have changed them on other cars, corvette, caddies etc but i seem to recall a discussion on this list that the Brick is a real bear to swap. Pugs Let's see

They aren't easy. I had to use two external plus an internal compressor. The arms on the internal compressor weren't long enough to get both sides of the spring at the same time so I used one arm. M

harmonic is. Don't forget the incorrect installation (mounted backwards and therefore closed) of the exhaust manifold heat valve!! This caused some cars to catch fire and was in BVC service manual nb
