Both are fine for Solo2. SA adds fire resistance and multi-impact protection to the equation for road racing, but is not necessary for AutoX. -Carl

In a Miata, you can most definitely whack a helmeted or unhelmeted head against a roll bar in an autox. And many drive around without roll bar padding. I speak from first hand experience. Craig
