Rookie Question-rain tires?

Next wkend at the HSR-W event in Willows will hopefully be my first
rookie race.  However, the weather prediction may include rain. So what
is done for tires in "wet" conditions?  I have the Hoosier TD's now.
Are they good for any type of wet track?  I don't want to run in
anything other than intermittent showers type of weather.  I have a set
of original skinny rims would street tires w full tread be a viable
alternative if there's water on the track?
