Hi,

I can vouch for their speed too - at the Dodge vintage festival I followed one
around the back section of Lime Rock, I thought I could pass on the
main straight where it was safer in the wet. When we got to the straight
he pulled me the whole way down, and I had to pass him under braking
in big bend. I have about 196 HP at the rear wheels with my 2.7RS engine.

As far as which car to buy, I don't think a 911 is actually expensive.
For me, my time is the most expensive part of racing, and having a
bulletproof car that can race for years with only minor maintenance
makes it cheap. Those early 60s corvettes sure look like fun though,
sliding through all the corners while I am on rails in the 911.
(well, 3 wheels are on rails, the other is taking the scenic aero route.)

Did anyone see the Tourist Trophy (?) race on speedvision recently?
It was a British vintage race, consisting of my favorite cars - Ferrari GTOs,
Jaguar Es, Cobras, Corvettes, Aston Martins, etc, with St?rling Moss,
Damon Hill, vintage Mr. Hill, and many other famous drivers driving sideways
the whole race, they even required pit stops with driver changes.
Highly recommended!!! Check speedvision.com for possible rebroadcast
dates.
