OK, I'll venture a name, with co-credit to vintage lister Graeme Sutherland:
TVR Griffith 400
Snorting HiPo 289 and Ford tranny with cheap parts from your nearest garage.
All other parts borrowed from something you drove as a kid.
Competent/strong tube steel frame, fiberglass body.

What is the perfect vintage racer?
Here are the specifications; Acceptable by all venues, Reasonably priced,
All
weather (for The Glen), Parts availability, Club support, and Historically
significant: Conclusion 750 Series Alfa Sprint. Any other nominations?
