Why are you using primer on suspension pieces? Paint does not really stick
all that well to primer. Do you think the MG factory primed suspension pieces
before top coating - I think not. Primer is for bodywork where surface
imperfections are filled and leveled with the primer built-up and sanded
between coats.
I think that Krylon rattle-can paints are a good product: quick drying, run
free, wide choice of colors, and a durable finish etc.
