10-Rare Porsche race cars as far as the eye could see
9-Hurley Haywood winning in the 914-6
8-Brian Redmond by a mile
7-Hundreds of Porsches in the corral
6-Race gas and burning rubber
5-Betting on which pre-Civil War cars will actually finish
4-Watching the Pooper(Cooper Porsche) dust the field and then collect a
special award at the Concours.
3-Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld at the Concours, raffling off a new 911, a new
Mercedes and a new Chrysler.......Jerry has the first 911 and the last 911
but Jay was funnier.
2-Jay Leno, unescorted on Saturday a.m., wandering thru the paddock kicking
tires just like the rest of us.....
1-Scouting the paddock for a good parking space for the Elve FJr in next
years Historics(It's DKW/AutoUnion powered, shoe in for next year)

Other sightems: Arnold Schwarzernegger checking out the Concours cars, Phil
Hill and Sterling Moss sharing a moment, Denise McCluggage making the
rounds, The Donohue Sonoco Trans Am flat 12, twin turbo launching down the
front straight. Porsche #1 was supposed to be on the rotating display in
the Porsche tent as the centerpiece but was dropped in
shipping...........The 356 Club had its national event the week before the
Historics. Broken down 356's littered the highways for miles
around.......The red GT40, spinning out of 11 and coming to a stop within a
foot of the tire wall.......Sam Posey, working for Speedvision, doing
interviews in the paddock.......The meanest waitress in the world at the
Fishwife Restuarant in Seaside.....her tip? A note written on the bill that
said "Tip, less starch in the panties......"

Concours Child Abusers: Send the 6 year old daughter 100 feet across a
roped off area to get Leno and Seinfields autographs in front of thousands
of spectators....the revenge, "THIS ONE DADDY??????"
