If you wanted to do an accurate replica, you would need to put a set of
hinges in the middle of the chassis ;>).
A friend of mine drove a 30 at the Road America 500 and said it felt
positively deadly to him. He brought it in after a few laps and complained.
The team manager is giving him a lecture on doing his best when the mechanic
looked under the rear deck and motioned for the car to be shut down. When my
friend looked at the back, he could see that the backbone frame had ripped
apart at the rear bulkhead and was held in place by a small piece of metal.
Hmmmm. That would explain it!
