I have just completed the restoration of a Datsun 1600 roadster (SPL-311)
which was raced from 1972 - 1985. The car is now as it was raced, but totally
rebuilt, painted, etc. For safety I installed a cage, fuel cell and fire
system.
I have run it at Watkins and Lime Rock this summer,in SCCA Regionals, and
gotten the bugs out (including 1 engine!!!!!).
Now I am set for the SVRA (Group 3) run at Watkins in two weeks and I got a
call on Friday from SVRA and they say I must get new tires.(I should have
checked the rules better) I have been running radials.
My choices seem to come down to Goodyear Sports Car Special 5.50-14 or
Hoosier Street TD 205/60-14. BIAS PLY.

                                                                           I,
and the gentlemen from SVRA (Jack Woerhle-tech. director), lean towards the
Hoosiers ---- any thoughts/advice/experience from the group?????
Also- any thoughts/suggestions as to the best place for Hoosier purchasing in
the NE? I am in Rochester NY.
ORRRRRRR anyone have such tires that they are dying to part with???
I look forward to all help/suggestions.
