CHRYSLER CLASSIC SPEED FESTIVAL DEBUTS NOVEMBER 22-23 IN CORONADO

CORONADO--The inaugural Chrysler Classic Speed Festival is set to take place
on November 22 and 23 at NAS North Island in Coronado. The Plymouth Holiday
Bowl has teamed up with Chrysler Corporation and the founders of the
Monterey Historic Automobile Races at Laguna Seca to bring a world-class
historic car race to the San Diego area.

Patterned after Laguna Seca, the Chrysler Classic will allow racing fans to
get up close and experience the atmosphere and excitement of classic car
competition. Featuring 150 of the world's top vintage race cars, the
Chrysler Classic will be run on a 1.5 mile course directly adjacent to the
runways where the Navy's finest fighter pilots train.

The event will be produced by General Racing, Ltd., under the direction of
Steven J. Earle, who founded and has produced the Monterey Historic
Automobile Races since 1974. Laguna Seca is widely recognized as the
foremost vintage car race in the U.S.

The selection process used to determine the participants at Laguna Seca also
will be employed at the Chrysler Classic. Qualification is based on the
historic significance of the car and its certified authenticity to ensure
that each car runs as it was originally intended, without the benefit of
improved technologies.

"The addition of the Chrysler Classic to the Holiday Bowl's year long
festival of events seemed a natural progression with the relationship the
Bowl already has with Chrysler Corporation," said 1997 Plymouth Holiday
Bowl President Hal Brown. "It also keeps with the Holiday Bowl's mission of
generating tourism and economic benefit for all of San Diego County."

Advance purchase admission to the event will be $10 per day, $15 for both
days, free for children under 12 and there will be a military discount.

The Chrysler Classic is a presentation of the Plymouth Holiday Bowl, a San
Diego non-profit community benefit organization that annually produces one
of the Nation's premier post season college football games and related
festival of events.

For more information or tickets call the Holiday Bowl offices at 283-5808.
