John,
I havent seen anyone else respond to your post but I cant say that I am
surprised. I think in my short time on the list you have probably sent the
email that tackles the most issues with a car in one post. For someone who is
going to sit and write a response it would be difficult to sift through all of
the different things you are asking assistance for.
For your own sanity I will make a few suggestions which, of course you are
free to disregard. The first thing you have already done, which is to make a
hit list of the things you need to sort out with the car in order to get it so
that it can be driven and enjoyed. Probably the next step is to prioritize that
list. Then the next best thing in my opinion would be to choose a single task
and send a single post about that task to the list. There are some people on
the list who have a wide range of knowledge and some of us who are more
accomplished and comfortable with certain specific aspects of Triumph repair. I
think you would get a better response with individual posts for individual
problems.
And lastly, I didnt see your message post to the 6-Pack list so I am not sure
if you are on that list or not. The Triumph list is great and I am sure all
your questions could be answered from the wonderful people on that list. But
the 6-Pack list is another resource that you might try in order to receive a
little more help. Check out www.6-pack.org.
Here is the instructions for subscribing to the list:
Send an email to majordomo@autox.team.net and in the BODY of the message, NOT
THE SUBJECT line, type one of the following red commands ...... depending on
what you want to do:
subscribe 6pack
will subscribe you to the list. Each time an e-mail message is sent to the
list, you will be receive it to the address you are using to subscribe.
I hope this has been helpful.
