I agree. Having seen my fair share of "original" TR4s from the time
when they were new or nearly so up through the present, they actually
were pretty good in terms of overall panel fit. Not perfect, mind you,
and not as good as the most basic Hyundai is nowadays, but good. And
it's all the more amazing when you see photos of some of the stages of
assembly of TR4 bodies...not a lot of lasers or robotics involved back
then.
I'll leave discussion of panel fit on some "restored" TR4s for another
time.... :-)
