Door striker adjustment on TR4

I am trying to adjust the passenger door striker on my TR4. When the door is 
closed and the latch is fully engaged in the second position in, the upper part 
of the door is recessed about 1/8 of an inch. I have moved the stiker plate out 
as far as it wants to move. Is there a way to move the striker out further, or 
another adjustment I am missing?
