In a nutshell, the bolt is designed to permanently distort when it is
installed; and thus should be replaced every time it's removed. Kind of
like the pinion spacer in the late TR6 diff.

Ok, I didn't know that. Good to know, in case I ever can't resist taking
them apart. So far, that's not been a problem for me <g>
