Hi All
I have experience of several rebuilt exchange racks that I have been asked
to fit, NOTE these come from regular suppliers not Triumph specialists. One
had been rebuilt and then shot blasted and painted, I worked it from end to
end and it was gritty so it went back! Another lasted about 13 months so I
stripped it down and found that the passenger side rack tube bush was only a
third the length it should have been, a ten pound component cut in 3 to make
it do 3 racks, no wonder I couldn't do a rack for 30 pounds and they could!
I hope the big suppliers don't get their racks from the same source, and
preferably they will do their own rebuilds.
Graham.
