I have had success reusing the plug terminals from an old set of wires. 
 If they are still in good shape they can be (gently) pried open and 
slipped off.  A crimping tool for TV coax connections is what I use to 
recrimp them though many other tools would work, especially one made to 
do this.

 From a set of (copper) wires for an 8-cylinder engine I can make 4 TR sets.
