Am I missing something in this discussion? I don't understand how the wrist
pin clips can be compressed by the movement of the piston. The circlips are
installed in the piston, not on the wrist pin, to stop the lateral motion of
the pin. If they were installed in the pin I could understand the motion
putting pressure on the clip to compress it, but since they are in the piston
it doesn't seem they are subject to pressure in a direction that would
compress them.
