IMO........these pumps are poorly designed...........they will NOT put up
with any wobble, variance, excessive belt tension, different pulleys.....or
anything short of perfection......!!!!!!!!!!

If it were me.........(and this is what I have done!!!) I'd get a couple of
old original pumps, the kind with the grease Zerks) from Chris Mills at
STEPTOE2222@ITOL.COM, about $50 each WITH pulleys that FIT........keep the
pulleys with the pump that you get.........DON"T interchange
them.........rebuild them with seals from VB or Massey-Ferguson
distributers.......new bearings are NOT available......so hopefully you can
get 2 or 3 good bearings from two pumps........if you've got the expertize
and time........remake the shaft in SS.....I've had that
done........$50.........adjust the belt just tighter than
"squeeking"........and you're home (probably NOT) free!. Great article in an
old VTR mag (VTR #52, p. 1037).....if you want one.........give me an address
and I'll send you a copy! (Don't get that belt too tight..........it'll burn
up a new pump in no time at all!!!!...........I know!!!!!!) I've bought
replacement pumps from several sources.........pulleys wrong........my pulley
won't fit their pump.........it will fit their pump.....but drags the
housing....etc. etc. etc........must be 20 variations and combinations out
there...........maybe it's just me.......but this has been my biggest problem
with my TR4A IRS!
