Memory says it comes from St. Nicholas. Various references to one or more
people visiting peoples homes on Christmas day. So while it may not be a
biblical event, it is a Christian tradition.

Very, VERY funny. But I'm still trying to figure out why Santa will 
only visit Christian homes. After all, what does Santa have to do 
with Christianity?! I don't recall any mention of Santa in the Bible!
