I have to admit that I was suprised at how heavy the flywheel was! I
also hadn't concidered that the fan acted as a harmonic balancer. I plan
to replace the factory fan with an electric one during the restoration
process. I will plan to look into balancer alternatives.
Based on the external grime and color of the motor oil, I have a hunch
that this engine is pretty well worn out. Maybe I will have better luck
with the other one.
