When living in the snowbelt I had used a product called Rust Check, it was a
light oil that was supposed to creep into places and cling there. They had
outlets that did whole vehicles and also sold the product for home use.
Did it work? Well I only drove the cars for about a dozen years in that
climate and was careful of salt, dirt accumulation, etc and had no rust
problems.
