Marshall,

INMHO, not likely. You don't say what kind of car, but I would suspect the
carbs first.  Gas leaking from the carbs may not make it to the floor.
There are a lot of places for it to collect and it evaporates pretty
quickly, so it would be a pretty good size leak to see pools on the floor.
Also, it doesn't take much to smell up a garage.  Run your finger under the
various connections on and to the carbs and see where it comes up wet.
