Mike,

As far as the bottom end not taking the stress I've never heard of the PI
TR6 engines having any universal problems handling the stress of 150 hp
which is about what you'd get from adding a supercharger. My assumption is
that power is power whether it comes from a supercharger or PI...but I could
be wrong about that too.

I think the problems with adding a supercharger to a TR6 engine have more to
do with handling the additional heat, keeping it from predetonating and
keeping it from over-revving and blowing up. The former you can handle by
adding an oil cooler and/or more efficient radiator and the later two by
getting an ignition system that controls predetonation and over-revving.

I'd be curious to know from our British listers (or those with PI TR6
engines) if they've had bottom end problems with their greater hp engines.
