Oh yes..... you'll be amazed how expensive they are! 
I've just sold an almost completely original 948 Saloon which I kept on 
crossplies, though I never had to pay anything like the nearly 60 quid per boot 
they retail for - I was always lucky enough to pick them up at events. I would 
only keep them on a museum piece, any of my "useable" Heralds  was always been 
run on radials. Incidentally, after years of paying for decent branded tyres 
for my Heralds, in recent times I have reverted to buying budget 145x13 tyres. 
I've really found they suit the whole character of the Herald rather well, 
anything over 145 profile being inclined to roll around on the 3.5" rims when 
cornering,
