Paul,

A Chevy will fit, but it's tight. A Ford 302 is a better choice, as it's 
narrower and a lot lighter. A Rover will also fit, but it's just about as big 
as the Chevy, so it's a tight fit also. See

and a Ford V8.

Not that I'd want to encourage you or anything like that <BSEG>.
