Last time we were in France with the TR we found a TR3a & Vitesse in
the hotel car park one evening. Next morning we met the owners & had
a chat. We discovered the 3a had been imported from the UK &
converted to LHD. I suggested that the previous owner could have
picked up a (cheaper) LHD car in the states & the owner told me that
the car had originally been in the US, imported to the UK & converted
to RHD, before going to France for a LHD conversion!
I certainly see LHD cars up for sale quite regularly in the UK, & I'm
sure you could make a profit selling a RHD in the UK & taking back a
LHD.
