Listers,
A query. Based on list and personal input I will be using copper anti-sieze
on the lower inner nylon bushes. On top I am using urethane bushes but would
like to dress those in something that will allow the bushes to move. The
rubber one I took out looked newish but you could see where they had deposited
a lot of rubber on the shaft metal because of heat and friction.
Michael Ferguson kindly gave me a recommendation to use an OMC (Outboard
Marine Corp.) "blue" waterproof lube that comes in a little 8 oz tube. This
is intended as a seal dressing in an outdrive enviromment.
What do you guys use? Whatever it is... it must not attack the urethane
bushes.
TIA
