When I was working for the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Dean Kamen came
to do a presentation for us and I picked him up at the airport in my 95 GTI
VR6. When I mentioned sports cars to him, he talked about the TR3 he used to
have. Don't remember any discussion of a 928, though.
By the time he was 17, Dean Kamen had made enough money on his invention of
the infusion pump to send his parents on vacation for two weeks. When they
returned, they found their house on stilts, as Dean was having a basement
installed! Neat guy!
