Pat,
If you have a "wide mouth" TR-3A then the nose does take a CONCAVE curve 
where it meets the grille below the letters. I've seen quite a few of these 
that are indeed missing the distinct concave curve. 
It you have a "small mouth" TR-3, then there's a very pronounced convex 
detail that follows the grille curve and ends adjacent to the headlamps.
