Kids, gas was about the same price as a loaf of bread.  About 16 to 19 
cents per gallon.  I used to think  spending $5 to fill an empty fuel 
tank was real expensive. THese days it can cost me $75 to fill the Land 
Rover from empty tanks (42 gallons)
