Hi Ian
This would indicate you are using wire that is too small gauge for the
length of run and current involved, the length causes a volt drop and the
motor will draw the wattage it needs so increasing the amps drawn, also the
heating will increase the resistance and therefore the volt drop, instant
downward spiral! I have not checked my wires but I don't think they get hot,
I will check tommorow if I remember!
