Wait a minute, Dan. I pay around $20.00/month for my AOL at home. Now
you're telling me you can get Internet access simply by cutting a
strategic hole in your TR6? Can this be done on other Triumphs? Negative
ground only?
:-)
Seriously, as one of those who spent an awful lot of time struggling (in
vain) to get your bonnet open, solenoid operation -- with a manual release
as a backup -- sounds like a great idea!

Scions,
I'm a little late chiming in, mostly because I was out of town for the week
before the show and I am way behind at home and work. Also a little sleep
deprived, getting the car ready for the show. I had 15 miles, at the most,
on the new engine, including travel to the show. A lot of smiles/mile
though.
Thanks everyone for the compliments on the show. From my perspective, I had
a lot more time than last year to enjoy the show, but obviously not enough
time though, as I missed Andy M. :-(
We had a great day for a show, sunny and warm, but not hot. I believe all
listers (with cars) took home trophies, including FT taking the lister,
ahhh, long distance award. There was a Lotus with CA plates, but they had a
local address.
My thanks to Chris Lillja and George Richards for taking pictures. I'll let
y'all know when I can get them posted on the show's web site.
Bill Kelley and Andy, get FOUR Heralds to the show and I'll open up a
separate Herald class. =(8^0)
The reason we had so many TVR's was that I threatened to drop the TVR class
due to poor attendance (2-3 per year for the last two years). My local TVR
contact got the word out. Interestingly, I dropped the TR 7/8 class, moving
them into "other Triumphs", since we only had 2 each year for the past few
years also, and this year we had 6-8. Conversely, we had 6 MGA's last year,
so I broke the MGA/MGT-series class into MGA and MGT-series and only had two
MGA's show up. Go figure!
The moral of the story.... If you want to make sure you have a class at any
show, contact the show organizer and find out how many cars you need to have
for a separate class and get pre-registrations in early.
Thanks again to everyone who attended. I had a great time too.
Happy TR'ing,
Jack Brooks
