Abbreviated directions: After cleaning surfaces thoroughly,spray area
with Metal-Ready (zinc) and keep wet for 20-30 minutes.Rinse with water
and dry overnight.Cut steel mesh to size and add duct tape (not included)
to underside of any holes 1" or larger. Apply a thin coat of POR15 silver
and place pre-cut mesh directly on wet surface then apply more till
saturated. Do not apply too much (avoid puddling) as bubbles may occur
when dry.Let dry 4-5 hrs (overnight). Use epoxy putty to fill in low
areas,welds etc.Topcoat the interior side with chassiscoat black.Topcoat
the underside (exposed to the elements) with 2 coats of POR15 black.
In my opinion- POR15 black could substitute for POR15 silver but YMMV.I
have never seen this "Steel reinforcing fabric" or anything quite like it
before.It resembles fiberglass mesh only it is made up of finer strands.
Perhaps a steel wool of 00 or 000 for small repairs? Hope this helps.
