I think one of the major points not yet mentioned in this discussion is the
fact that the TR6 has a separate body and frame while the MGB is a unit
body. The TR6 is (relatively speaking) easier to repair without resorting
to a new body shell than the MGB. A TR6 body can be removed from the frame,
then either component can be repaired. If the frame is bad on an MGB, it is
an integral part of the body, and is more likely to require a new shell.
Now I won't get into the relative discussion of which is more worthwhile to
repair between the TR6 and the MGB, after all, I am on the Triumph list, so
you know my feelings.
