The other day I pulled in to my spot at work next to the editor in 
chief who cast a playful look at my TR4A and said "Nice Car! Well, 
nice toy, anyway." I said "No, no, it's car -- 31 years old, 92k 
miles, 27 mpg, worth about 6 times what was paid for it in 
1967....this is a car", I insisted pointing at my TR."No, come on 
it's a toy." I pointed at her late 80's FWD GM -- "That's an 
appliance. It's really just a washing machine or a toaster with four 
wheels." She smiled...and I think I got through just a little 
bit.....
